6/14/2023 Weather Related Damage Report

On June 14th, 2023, the Henry County Courthouse received severe flooding and damages due to weather conditions on the second floor which includes the Circuit Court, Circuit Clerk's office, and the DA's office. As a result, these offices will be closed until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. All circuit court hearings are postponed until further notice. The ground floor of the courthouse as well as the Herndon Building will remain open barring any unforeseen developments.

Residents are experiencing property damages, flooding, and power outages. Please contact 911 in emergent cases. Please contact Headland Dispatch (334-585-1911) in non-emergent cases such as downed trees or minor injuries. Emergency personnel are working tirelessly to serve all residents in need. Drivers should be on the lookout for debris and downed trees in roads while driving. The road department as well as residents are working to clean up the streets and county roads. Please be patient and report any downed trees to Headland Dispatch.
