Henry County Road Department

The Henry County Commission is taking applications for one (1) Equipment Operator II (EOII) and one (1) Mechanic II positions in the Road Department. The EOII position operates various types of motorized equipment in performing road construction and maintenance work, primarily driving a Tri-Axle Dump Truck. The principle function of the Mechanic II position is to provide general maintenance and repairs of all County gasoline and diesel automotive vehicles and heavy equipment. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Shop Foreman, but considerable leeway is granteed for the excercise of independent judgement and initiative.

Applicants interested in the EOII position must have a valid Class A or B CDL driver's license, High School Diploma or GED, and pass pre-employment drug screen. Pay scale: $14.51/hr - 19.53/hr.

Applicants interested in the EOII position must have a valid Alabama driver's license, Class A or B CDL is preferred but not required, HighSchool Diploma or GED, and pass pre-employment drug screen. Pay Scale: $17.93/hr - $24.13/hr.
